About My Work:

I'm interested in documenting our modern life in a honest, heartfelt and balanced way.

I aim to connect with people of today, tomorrow and yesterday. I do this by using durable archival materials, by choosing subjects that are universal and still specific and by seeking guidance from past masters.

My landscapes are created en plein air, meaning open air, or on sight. It is an intense and exhilarating process. My studio paintings; still life, portrait and figurative work, are done from life, also. I find it so exciting to interpret my subjects directly, and it helps me to convey a livelier presence in the final artwork.
