Artist Studios

The Mission of the Ashland Arts Center is to serve as a vital resource for art experience and education, while offering economic and social support to the visual arts community.  The Artist Studio at Ashland Art Center is as an important part of serving our mission.

Studio artists have been selected to lease space from AAC. These artists are required to create art in their studio a minimum of 10 hours each week and are able to sell all of their artwork at the front counter of AAC during hours of operation.  Artists retain 90% of those sales.

The artists in our studios recognize the importance of demonstrating their techniques and skills to the patrons that visit our facility.  The interaction between Artist and Patron is a way to educate and provide art access to our community.  The ability to see art in process and better understand the techniques involved in creating art elevates our appreciation and support for the arts in general.
